Best free roulette payout chart: every bet’s edge, computed from the wheel
A roulette payout chart is only complete when it shows the true odds beside the payout, because the gap between them is the edge. Every standard bet, both wheels, the working, and a £10 cost per spin.

The chart below is free to read and to print, and it is complete in the one way most charts are not: beside every payout it shows the true odds, so the gap between the two is visible. That gap is the house edge, and on a single-zero wheel it is the same for every bet on the layout: 2.70%.
On a double-zero wheel it is 5.26% for every bet except the five-number bet, which costs 7.89%. The payouts are the minimum odds in the Massachusetts Gaming Commission roulette rules, section 2, read 21 September 2026; the pocket counts come from the same rules and from Article 51 of the French casino games order.
A payout chart cannot make any bet better than another. Put £10 on red on a single-zero wheel and the expected return is £9.73; put £10 on a single number and the expected return is also £9.73. The chart shows why, bet by bet, and the calculator lets you change the wheel and watch every edge move together.

Can I download printable roulette payout charts for free?
You can print this one from the browser; there is no file to download and no form to fill in. A printable chart is worth having only if it carries three columns, not two: the payout, the true odds, and the edge.
A chart with the payout alone is a list of prizes, and it tells you nothing about what a bet costs.
The figures on it should also say which wheel they describe. A chart that prints “35 to 1” without saying whether the wheel has 37 or 38 pockets is half a chart. The table in this article states the wheel on every row, and the operator’s own game rules must do the same.
RTS 3D requires the potential prizes and payouts to be easily available before the customer commits to gamble, read 21 September 2026.

What a printable chart must carry
A chart with the payout alone is a list of prizes, and it tells you nothing about what a bet costs.
Ticks are kept only in this browser and are never sent anywhere.
How do European and American roulette payout charts differ?
They do not differ in the payouts. Both charts print 35 to 1 for a straight-up bet, 17 to 1 for a split, 2 to 1 for a dozen and 1 to 1 for red. They differ in the wheel behind the chart, and the wheel sets the edge.
The single-zero wheel has 37 pockets. A straight-up bet wins one spin in 37 and pays 35, so over 37 spins at £1 you pay £37 and receive £36 back: an edge of £1 in £37, which is 2.70%. The double-zero wheel has 38 pockets.
The same bet wins one spin in 38 and still pays 35, so over 38 spins you pay £38 and receive £36: £2 in £38, which is 5.26%. The extra pocket almost doubles the cost of every bet.
The one bet that breaks the pattern is the five-number bet on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3, which exists only on the double-zero layout. It pays 6 to 1 and wins 5 spins in 38: you pay £38 and receive 5 × £7 = £35, so the edge is £3 in £38, or 7.89%.
The chart marks it as the only row with a different figure. Where a double-zero table returns half of an even-money stake on 0 or 00, which the Massachusetts rules allow at the licensee’s option, the even-money rows drop to 2.63%.

What are the standard payout ratios shown on roulette payout charts?
The standard ratios follow one formula. A bet covering n numbers pays (36 ÷ n) − 1 to 1. One number: 35 to 1.
Two: 17 to 1. Three: 11 to 1. Four: 8 to 1.
Six: 5 to 1. Twelve, whether a dozen or a column: 2 to 1. Eighteen, which is red, black, odd, even, 1 to 18 or 19 to 36: 1 to 1.
Those are exactly the minimum payouts listed in section 2 of the Massachusetts rules, read 21 September 2026.
The formula is built for a 36-number layout with no zero. On such a wheel every bet would return exactly the stake in the long run. The zero is the pocket the formula ignores, and that is the whole reason every bet on a given wheel has the same edge.
A bet on n numbers wins n spins in 37 and pays (36 ÷ n) − 1 each time, so its expected return per £1 is n × (36 ÷ n) ÷ 37 = 36 ÷ 37, whatever n is. The n cancels. The edge is 1 ÷ 37 for every row, and 2 ÷ 38 on the other wheel.
What is a roulette payout chart and how do I read it?
A roulette payout chart is a list of the bets on the layout with the ratio each one pays. Read it in three passes. First, find the wheel the chart assumes, because the payouts are the same on both and the wheel is what changes the cost.
Second, read the payout as “profit to stake”: 35 to 1 means a winning £10 stake returns £360, the £350 profit plus the £10 back. Third, set the true odds beside it: one pocket in 37 is 36 to 1 against, and the difference between 36 and 35 is the edge.
Under the Gambling Commission’s technical standards, an online table must make its rules and payouts easily available before you bet (RTS 3A and 3D) and must settle bets according to those published rules (RTS 5A). So the chart on the game’s help page is the one that governs your money.
Use the chart below to check it: if the help page lists the same payouts and the same wheel, the edges here apply to that table.

Reading any payout chart in three passes
The chart on the game’s help page is the one that governs your money; this is how to check it against Table 1.
Find the wheel the chart assumes
The payouts are the same on both wheels; the wheel is what changes the cost. A chart that does not name it is half a chart.
Read the payout as profit to stake
35 to 1 means a winning £10 stake returns £360: the £350 profit plus the £10 back.
Set the true odds beside it
One pocket in 37 is 36 to 1 against. The difference between 36 and 35 is the edge.
Check it against the help page
RTS 3A and 3D require the rules and payouts to be available before you bet, and RTS 5A requires bets to settle by them. If the help page lists the same payouts and the same wheel, the edges here apply to that table.
What the result means
Every ordinary bet on the same wheel carries the same edge: 2.70% on 37 pockets, 5.26% on 38. The chart cannot make one bet better than another.
The table: payout-and-edge table computed from the rules, with the working shown, and an interactive that lets you change wheel type and see every bet's edge move together
Table 1 lists every standard bet with its payout from the rules, its true odds on each wheel, and the edge computed as (pockets − 36) ÷ pockets for every ordinary bet. The working for each row is the same sum written out in the previous section; the five-number row uses 3 ÷ 38 because 5 × 7 = 35 is returned from 38.
The calculator underneath applies the same arithmetic to your own stake and spin count. Change the pocket count from 37 to 38 and every output moves together, because the edge is a property of the wheel, not of the bet. The outputs are expected costs; no output on this page is a prediction of a result.

Edges are arithmetic from the cited payouts and pocket counts, not operator figures. Half-back on zero (s.2(b) option, single-zero la partage) halves the even-money edge only.
Expected cost per bet as the wheel changes
Set the pocket count to 37 (single zero) or 38 (double zero). Every standard bet on that wheel has the same expected cost per spin: stake × (pockets − 36) ÷ pockets. The outputs are costs over the spins entered, not results.
Worked example: with stake per spin £10.00, pockets on the wheel (37 or 38) 37, number of spins 100, expected cost per spin, any standard bet is £0.27 and expected cost over the spins entered is £27.03 and even-money bet with half back on zero, over the spins is £13.51 and five-number bet over the spins (38 pockets only) is £78.95. £10 a spin for 100 spins on 37 pockets: 27p per spin, £27.03 over the run, £13.51 with half back on zero. On 38 pockets the run costs £52.63; the five-number bet costs £78.95.
Formula and figures: Massachusetts roulette rules, s.1 and s.2
A worked example in pounds
Put £10 on red on a single-zero wheel. Red wins 18 spins in 37 and pays 1 to 1. Over 37 spins at £10 you stake £370 and receive 18 × £20 = £360: a cost of £10 in £370, which is 2.70%, or 27p per spin.
Now put £10 on the number 17 instead. It wins one spin in 37 and pays 35 to 1. Over 37 spins you stake £370 and receive one payment of £360: again £10 in £370, 27p per spin.
Same edge, every bet.
Move the same two bets to a double-zero wheel. Red now wins 18 spins in 38: over 38 spins you stake £380 and receive £360, a cost of £20 in £380, or 53p per spin. Number 17 wins one spin in 38 for £360: £20 in £380, 53p per spin.
Same edge again, and twice the cost. If the table returns half of an even-money stake when 0 or 00 comes up, red costs £10 in £380 instead, 26p per spin, while number 17 still costs 53p. That option is the only line on a chart that moves one row without moving the rest.
A losing run is the ordinary shape of independent draws, not a sign that a win is near. If a run has taken more than you planned, GamCare’s helpline is 0808 8020 133.

What this page does not tell you
It does not tell you what any named operator’s table pays, or whether it offers half-back on zero; that is on the game’s help page, which RTS 3 requires to be available before you bet.
It does not cover triple-zero wheels: the brief’s Nevada rules document for one is an image scan whose text could not be extracted on 21 September 2026, so no 39-pocket figure is stated here. It does not cover side bets, racetrack bets or call bets, which cover several numbers and follow the same formula only when their payouts do.
The Massachusetts and French documents are cited as published statements of the standard rules. Neither binds a GB operator; the operator’s own published rules do. The general theory of expected value and independence belongs to Odds & Ends and is used here, not re-taught.
Live-wheel streams belong to Live Table Notes.

- The chance of a bet winning stated against it: one pocket in 37 is 36 to 1 against.
- Edge
- The gap between the payout and the true odds, stated as the share of each stake the bet costs in expectation.

Where can I find detailed roulette payout charts for online casinos in the UK?
On the help page of the game itself: the Gambling Commission’s RTS 3A and 3D require a GB-licensed operator to make the rules and the payouts easily available before you commit to a bet. Check that page against Table 1 above; if the payouts and the wheel match, the edges here apply to that table.

Which online platforms provide the most accurate roulette payout charts?
Accuracy is not a matter of platform: the payouts are fixed ratios (35 to 1 for one number, down to 1 to 1 for eighteen), and a chart is accurate when it states them with the wheel they belong to. Any chart that omits the pocket count or the true odds is incomplete, whoever publishes it.
best roulette payout chart
The one that shows three columns, payout, true odds and edge, and names the wheel. Table 1 does that for 37 and 38 pockets; every ordinary bet costs 2.70% on the first and 5.26% on the second.

The 37-pocket columns of Table 1 are the European chart: 35 to 1, 17 to 1, 11 to 1, 8 to 1, 5 to 1, 2 to 1 and 1 to 1. Each carries an edge of 2.70%, or 1.35% on even-money bets where half is returned on zero.

Black pays 1 to 1, so a winning £100 bet returns £200: £100 profit plus the £100 stake. It wins 18 spins in 37 on a single-zero wheel, so the expected cost of the bet is £2.70 per spin, or £5.26 on a double-zero wheel.
